The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, June 16, 2011, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference. The Board and public may attend the meeting in the W.A. Butts Social Science Building Auditorium on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University, 14000 Highway 82 West, Itta Bena, MS 38941. An Executive Session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
The Standing Committees of the Board of Trustees will meet beginning at 1:15 in Sutton Administration Building according to the following schedule:
The committees will meet to discuss issues related to the successes, needs and opportunities in each area at the university. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
The Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
