Event: Mississippi State's communities and organizations class in the department of social work program will organize "Hunger Strike," a charity concert to aid local food pantry groups. The benefit will feature a variety of MSU talent, including the Black Voices Choir, Generation 6:20 and the Zack Logan Band.

Event: Operation: Wild Kids (5th-12th graders) will emphasize wildlife biology and ecology. Much of this workshop will be covered in the context of early American pioneers and fur trappers/traders. It will integrate a historical perspective and provide evidence of how humans can impact natural systems.
