DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY

Event: "Backyards & Beyond: Mississippians & Their Stories: The First Year After Katrina" exhibit
When: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, Dec. 14-17; 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18
Where: Capps Archives and Museum

Event: Men's and Women's Basketball. Delta State Lady Statesmen, No. 3 spot in the ESPN/USA Today Division II women's basketball poll, will face the Falcons of the University of Montevallo Statesmen Basketball will meet the Wolfpack of Loyola University (La.).
When: 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19
Where: Sillers Coliseum

Event: Delta State Swimming and Diving Christmas Invitational
When: Saturday, Dec. 19-Monday, Dec. 21. Preliminaries start at 10 a.m., finals start at 6 p.m. On Monday, finals will start at 4 p.m.
Where: Delta State Aquatics Center

Event: Charles Dickens' spirited tale of a miser's redemption at Christmas gets a lively musical remaking in a traveling production of "Scrooge, in Concert." Tickets are $30-40 each and are available at the UM Box Office or the Ford Center Box Office by calling (662) 915-7411 or online.

Event: Southern Miss men's basketball team hosts Louisiana-Lafayette.

Event: Southern Miss football team takes on Middle Tennessee in R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in New Orleans, La.
When: 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20
Where: Louisiana Superdome
