BOARD TO MEET WITH COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGE PRESIDENTS REGARDING THE SEARCH FOR THE NEXT COMMISSIONER OF HIGHER EDUCATION

On Tuesday, February 24, 2009, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in room 210 of the Mississippi State Capitol, 400 High Street, Jackson, MS, 39201, the Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning's (IHL) Board Search Committee for the next Mississippi Commissioner of Higher Education, chaired by Trustee Ed Blakeslee of Gulfport, with Interim Commissioner of Higher Education Dr. Aubrey K. Lucas, will meet with the state's community and junior college presidents. The purpose of the meeting is to hear what qualities the presidents want to see in Mississippi's next Commissioner of Higher Education. These qualities will be considered for the profile and job description for the position of Commissioner.
