MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY PREFERRED PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE TO VISIT CAMPUS NOVEMBER 12

11/7/2008 - Jackson, Miss.

Dr. Mark Keenum, the Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning's (IHL) preferred candidate for the next president of Mississippi State University, will be on Mississippi State Campus Wednesday, November 12, 2008, to participate in open interviews with various campus constituency groups. Participants will have an opportunity to provide written feedback to the Board. At the end of the day, as noted on the schedule below, the Board will meet to determine if Dr. Keenum is the next president of Mississippi State University, or if the search will continue.

All of the day's events on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, will be held in the Hunter Henry Center, 1 Hunter Henry Boulevard, Mississippi State, MS, 39762, and are open to the media. Meetings scheduled in the Parker Ballroom will be webcast real-time by clicking here.

The schedule is as follows:

8:00-8:50 a.m.: Breakfast with Vice Presidents and Athletic Director; Shackouls Room

9:00-9:50 a.m.: Meeting with Deans, Associate Deans, and Department Heads, including Meridian Campus Deans and Department Heads via video link; Parker Ballroom

10:00-10:50 a.m.: Meeting with Professional and Support Staff Advisory Council and General Staff, including staff on the Meridian Campus and at all Research and Extension Centers via video link; Parker Ballroom

11:00-11:50 p.m.: Meeting with Alumni Association Board; Shackouls Room

Noon-1:00 p.m.: Lunch with Bulldog Club Board members; Correro Room

1:10-2:00 p.m.: Meeting with Faculty Senate and General Faculty, including those at the Meridian Campus and at all Research and Extension Centers via video link; Parker Ballroom

2:10-3:00 p.m.: Meeting with Student Leaders and Student Body, including students at the Meridian Campus via video link; Parker Ballroom

3:10-4:00 p.m.: Meeting with Community Leaders, MSU Alumni, and General Public; Parker Ballroom

4:10-5:00 p.m.: Meeting with Foundation Board of Directors; Shackouls Room

5:15 p.m.: Meeting of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning; Correro Room
