MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY PREFERRED PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE TO VISIT CAMPUS OCTOBER 21

Dr. Donna Oliver, the Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning’s (IHL) preferred candidate for the next president of Mississippi Valley State University, will be on Mississippi Valley Campus Tuesday, October 21, 2008, to participate in open interviews with various campus constituency groups. Participants will have an opportunity to provide written feedback to the Board. At the end of the day, as noted on the schedule below, the Board will meet to determine if Dr. Oliver is the next president of the Mississippi Valley State University, or if the search will continue.

All of the day’s events on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, will be held in the Business Education Building, 14000 Highway 82 West, 206 Medgar Evers Street, Itta Bena, MS, 38941, and are open to the media. The schedule is as follows:

8:40-9:20 a.m.: Breakfast with Executive Staff; Conference Room; Business Education Building

9:30-10:15 a.m.: Meeting with Deans and Academic and Non-Academic Department Heads; Auditorium; Business Education Building

10:25-11:25 a.m.: Meeting with Staff Council and General Staff; Auditorium; Business Education Building

11:30-12:30 p.m.: Meeting with Faculty Senate and General Faculty; Auditorium; Business Education Building

12:40-1:40 p.m.: Lunch with MVSU Foundation Board of Directors; Conference Room; Business Education Building

1:45-2:45 p.m.: Meeting with Student Leaders and Student Body; Auditorium; Business Education Building

2:55-3:55 p.m.: Meeting with MVSU Alumni Association Board and Alumni; Auditorium; Business Education Building

4:05-5:05 p.m.: Meeting with Community Leaders and General Public; Auditorium; Business Education Building

5:15 p.m.: Meeting of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning; Conference Room, Business Education Building
