BOARD TO POSTPONE OCTOBER 2 MSU PRESIDENTIAL INTERVIEWS

Following its emergency teleconference meeting today, the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning announced its plans to postpone the October 2 Mississippi State Presidential Interviews. "The Board, together with search consultant Jerry Baker, is still conducting its due diligence," said Mississippi State Board Search Committee Chairman Scott Ross. "Although the interviews are postponed, the process is still on-schedule, with the goal of having a new president of Mississippi State named by the beginning of November." Further information will be announced as details are formalized.

The Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
