The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) Gulf Coast Committee, chaired by Trustee Amy Whitten, will meet on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Holloway Complex, Room A of the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park Campus, located at 730 E. Beach Boulevard, Long Beach, MS. The purpose of the committee meeting is to provide an update regarding the status of the new campus at Cross Creek, provide results of a Program Needs Survey conducted by Southern Miss, and discuss plans for the Gulf Park Campus. In addition, invited guests will have an opportunity to provide relevant feedback to the Gulf Coast Committee. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
Under the leadership of the Board of Trustees, IHL governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
