MISSISSIPPI COMMISSION ON COLLEGE ACCREDITATION MEETING POSTPONED

The meeting of the Mississippi Commission on College Accreditation (MCCA), originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at 8:00 a.m., in the Ninth Floor Conference Room, Room #935, of the Paul B. Johnson Tower Building within the Education and Research Center Complex, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS, 39211, has been postponed at the request of Madison University. The purpose of the meeting, which will be rescheduled at a later date, is to hear an appeal from Madison University of the decision made by MCCA to deny the university's request for provisional accreditation.

The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
