The Education Achievement Council will meet on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Some members of the Council may participate in the meeting via an online meeting platform. Members of the public and media may attend the meeting in the IHL Board Room, located in the Universities Center at 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, Miss., 39211.
The Education Achievement Council was established by the Mississippi Legislature in 2010 for the purpose of sustaining attention to the state's goal of increasing the educational attainment and skill levels of the state's working-age population benchmark to the national average by 2025. Council members are representatives of state government, public K-12 schools, public, private and proprietary higher education officials, and business community leaders.

The Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning governs the public universities in Mississippi, including Alcorn State University; Delta State University; Jackson State University; Mississippi State University including the Mississippi State University Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine; Mississippi University for Women; Mississippi Valley State University; the University of Mississippi including the University of Mississippi Medical Center; and the University of Southern Mississippi.
