The Mississippi Education Achievement Council will meet on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mississippi Community College Board meeting room, located in room 507, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, Miss. 39211.

Some members of the Council may participate in the meeting via an online meeting platform. Members of the public and media may attend the meeting in the Mississippi Community College Board meeting room, located in room 507, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, Miss. 39211.

The Education Achievement Council was established by the Mississippi Legislature in 2010 to establish education achievement goals for the state, monitor and report on the state’s progress toward these goals and prepare an annual report card compiled from the annual reports submitted by each state institution of higher learning and community college in the state.

The Mississippi Education Achievement Council consists of representatives of the Mississippi Legislature, the Governor’s Office, the State Institutions of Higher Learning, Mississippi’s Community Colleges, Mississippi Independent Colleges and Universities, Mississippi Proprietary Schools and Colleges, the Mississippi State Board of Education, the Mississippi Department of Mental Health and the Mississippi Economic Council.
