Fall enrollment at Mississippi Public Universities remains steady when compared to Fall 2020 figures. Fall enrollment for 2021 is 76,510 for the system, compared to 77,154 students enrolled in Fall 2020, representing a .8 percent decrease.
"Our students continue to invest in themselves and their education," said Dr. Alfred Rankins Jr., Commissioner of Higher Education. "The steady enrollment is a testament to their dedication, even in the face of adversities brought on by the pandemic. As each student graduates and moves into the workforce, their perseverance will benefit not only themselves, but also the businesses and organizations in which they work and the economy."
