The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning announced last week the selection of Dr. Jeffrey S. Vitter as the preferred candidate for chancellor of the University of Mississippi. Dr. Vitter will meet with campus constituency groups on visits to the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus in Jackson on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 and the Oxford campus on Thursday, October 29, 2015. While each session focuses on the needs of a specific constituency group, all sessions are open to the public. Anyone is welcome to attend any session on the schedule.
The Jackson Listening Sessions will be held in the Ballroom on the second floor of the Norman C. Nelson Student Union, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, Miss., according to the following schedule:

The Board of Trustees will meet to consider the selection of Dr. Vitter as Chancellor of the University of Mississippi on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. The Board meeting will be held in Ballroom A at the Inn at Ole Miss on the Oxford campus of the University of Mississippi, located at 120 Alumni Drive. Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
